Parenting can feel like one big experiment where we’re figuring out how to care for ourselves, our little ones, and one another all at the same time.
And like many experiments, I’ve found that it’s best explored mindfully with the support of others learning right alongside you.

As you navigate this chapter with full arms and a full heart, less sleep (and sometimes seemingly less sanity), this six-month series is designed to help you strengthen your mind & body, and cultivate connection with other moms.

What you can expect
A welcoming community that will help you embrace the joys and navigate the challenges of motherhood.
Each month, we’ll gather virtually through our Mindful Motherhood calls - a mix of guided meditation and community check-ins. We’ll also have an opportunity to gather in person each month through postpartum yoga classes and an informational workshop to support your wellbeing.
During the series, you’ll have access to a private resource page and Facebook community group to explore and connect.
The invitation is to show up just as you are with vulnerability, presence, and an intention to learn and grow together.

Format & Frequency: Five in-person classes will be offered at GIVE Yoga with the invitation to attend any or all that work best for your schedule. Four will be focused on mothers only and one will be a “baby and me” class where you can participate with your little one.*
Details: These classes are designed to support you in your postpartum journey and provide a comfortable, welcoming space to step back onto your yoga mat alongside other new mothers.
Class will incorporate guided breath work and mindfulness followed by a slow flow to support your postpartum body. We’ll practice gentle core reintegration and strengthening poses to release tension in your neck and upper back. You’re welcome to modify class based on your comfort level and are encouraged to attend after your doctor’s approval to resume normal exercise.
Classes are designed to help you reconnect with your body and bond with other moms. We’ll have time at the beginning of class for introductions and hold space at the end for socializing and connecting.
If you haven’t showered, are covered in spit-up, or are feeling the effects of sleep deprivation and postpartum hormones, this class is for you! Please show up as you are and know that you will be welcomed.
*For the “baby & me class',’ please note that this is designed for babies who are not mobile. If your baby is already walking and/or the timing doesn’t work out for your schedule, you’re still welcome to attend solo.
Four classes will be held on weekday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm and the ‘baby & me’ class will be on a weekend morning around 11am. -
Format & Frequency: Virtual meditations and community calls will be held over zoom each month at rotating times. They will be 30 minutes long with roughly 15-20 minutes for guided meditation and 10-15 minutes to check-in and connect. Most virtual gatherings will be over the lunch hour during the week; however, timing may change depending on feedback from the group.
Details: These virtual gatherings will be an invitation to pause and reconnect with your body and breath. You will be guided through a mindfulness meditation, focused on cultivating presence, ease, and compassion with themes varying by month. After the guided meditation, there will be space for an informal check-in for those on the call. As with all classes, babies are welcome to join!

Format & Frequency: This in-person workshop will be offered once during each series with rotating topics and teachers.
Details: These workshops are designed to empower you with knowledge and skills to support your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Topics will rotate and include the following: pelvic health, relationships, self-compassion, nutrition, sexual health, and mindful parenting. Workshops will be taught by other teachers in the community or Cecilia. The workshop time and topic will be announced >1 month prior to the start of the new series.

Format & Frequency: PDF of two 20-minute postpartum exercise routines.
Details: The postpartum exercise guide offers two 20-minute exercise routines that include breath work, movement, and stretches designed to help you strengthen and stabilize your pelvic floor and core. There are pictures of each pose with short descriptions that you can easily reference and modify based on your readiness, recovery, and time. You’re encouraged to practice with your baby (and will see mine in the pictures)! :)

Format & Frequency: On-demand guided meditations and resource library.
Details: These guided meditations can be paired with your exercise routines or used whenever you need them!

FAQs
When is the best time to take this class?
This class is for all mothers, regardless of when you’ve had your baby. There will be one class per series that is a “baby & me” class for younger non-mobile babies; however, you’re still welcome to come solo if your child is older. This series is designed to provide a sense of community, welcome you back to your yoga mat in a safe space, and offer mindfulness tools to support you in motherhood, wherever you are in your journey.
What if I can’t afford this series?
If your current life circumstances prevent you from enrolling in this series but you’re fully committed to participating, please email cecilia@mindfullearninglab.com.
What happens at the end of the series? Can I participate again?
You’re welcome to participate in the series again at a reduced rate if space is available. There will also be an option (at a much lower rate) to continue joining virtually through the monthly mindfulness calls and community pages.
What if I can’t make some of the in-person classes?
Life happens and part of being a mother is navigating ever-changing schedules. You will be missed; however, the series is only offered as a package.
